Believe it or not its been over 7 years since Marina Diamandis released her first album. The family jewels was a indie pop record with pop inspired tracks like OH NO and Hollywood. The album also featured an opera type track entitled numb. Overall the record was a very diverse and creative expression of sound. The family jewels was a top 10 record in Greece, Ireland, and the UK selling 700,000 copies worldwide as of 2014. Electra Heart was a pop record that featured very contemporary pop production featuring American songwriters Doctor Luke and Stargate. Froot was a radical departure from the previous 2 records featuring 12 tracks written by Diamandis alone. Froot had a sound of its own and was highly praised by critics. As of Aug 2015 Diamandis has sold 3 million albums and 8 million singles worldwide. Diamandis is rumored to release her 4th record later this year, I wonder what she will create this time?
